Dr. Peterson was raised on a hobby farm in Rochester, Minnesota. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 2011. She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. After working as a small animal veterinarian in St. Paul for a year and a half, Dr. Peterson joined the Hudson Road Animal Hospital team.
Dr. Peterson wanted to be a veterinarian since she was in kindergarten. Growing up, her love for animals grew as she cared for her family’s dogs, cats, horses, and chickens. Throughout her education and practice of veterinarian medicine, she gained interest and appreciation for preventative medicine. Dr. Peterson enjoys working with her clients to help their pets live happy healthy lives. Her goal is to make a difference in her clients’ lives as well as their pets. Dr. Peterson also enjoys geriatric medicine, dentistry, and internal medicine. She looks forward to creating strong relationships with her clients and their pets based on communication, trust, and compassion.
Dr. Peterson loves running, biking, boating at the lake, and reading. She lives in Richfield, Minnesota with her husband, Jon and golden retriever, Remi.
